It is different now than it was a year ago. be different in size/style... 表示比较的两种方法是用短语 different from表示“与……不同”， different可被totally, very, much, quite, a little修饰：City life is totally/very/much/quite/a little different from country life. the same(…)as表示“与……相同、一样”　 Our TV is the same as yours.
