This is bound to bring inevitable impact on their English learning, which relates to the native language transfer. So far, there are many researches about native language transfer both at home and abroad, but studies about English writing errors of students who are in initial stage, middle school, are extremely limited, and even more rarely at home. The paper argues it is quite necessary to let learners who take English as their second language from the very beginning, try their best to avoid some simple, routine errors, and understand the basic differences between their second language and mother tongue as soon and much as possible. If high school students have been continuing their original Chinese-style habits of mind that is not corrected timely, the consequence will be as horrible as the compound interest in the usury and will be irreparable. So the study makes a sample survey research on 134 students from two grades, Grade Two of junior and senior high school in Jian Xing middle school of Sichuan Province. The survey is mainly on a working analysis on errors in their compositions at lexical and syntactic level and gives a preliminary analysis and discussion on the causes, aiming to provide some ideas and materials for further research of this kind and for students and teachers who try their best to overcome Chinese negative transfer in their process of English learning and teaching.
