Unit 4 Where’s my backpack? (section A 1a-1c) Teaching Aims New words:table, bed, dresser, bookcase, sofa, chair, drawer, plant. Prepositions:on, in, under. Talk about where things are. 1). Where’s the …? It’s on/ in/ under… 2). Where are the…? They’re on/ in/ under… Teaching Methods 多媒体辅助教学法,听说法,情景教学法,交际法,游戏法 III. Teaching Aids 实物教具: keys, baseball, book, backpack, pencil case, computer game IV. Teaching Procedures Step1. Warm-up T shows some objects that Ss have learnt, Ss read it out. T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a key/ ruler/ baseball/ book/ backpack/ pencil case/ computer game. Review these words together. Step2. New Words 1. Show a picture of a room, ask Ss to guess what things are in the room. T: What things are in the room? Can you guess? Ss: Table/ bed/ dresser/ bookcase/ sofa/ chair/ drawer/ plant…… 2. Teach the new words. 3. Play a missing game. Step 3. 1a Match the words with the things in the picture. 1. Ask the students to match the words with the objects in the picture by writing the letters of the objects on the lines next to the words. 2. Read and repeat the new words. Step 4. 1b Listen and number the things. 1. Point the objects to the students have just identified in the illustrations and ask the students to repeat the name of each one. 2. Play the recording, check the answers. Step5. Ask and answer 1. Show some pictures and let the students ask and answer. 2. Practice the prepositions: on, in, under. 3. Play a finger game. 4. 学习复数的句子问答。 5. Enjoy a video. And then answer “Where’s the backpack? 6. Practice the conversations in 1a. Step6. 1c Pairwork 1. Ask the Ss to use the pictures to make a new conversation. 2. Ask a few pairs of them to act out their conversations. Step7. Groupwork Let the students design their ideal rooms, draw four things into the picture. Then describe the room. At last, make a report. Step 8. Summary 1.
