He married Isabella, the daughter of King Philip IV of France. She was known as the She-Wolf of France. She was born in Paris and was the daughter of King Philip IV of France and the sister of three French kings. Pope Boniface VIII had urged her marriage with the English King Edward II. Isabella went to France to get the help of her brother. Isabella raised an army and returned to England with her lover Mortimer in 1326 to avenge the murder of Lancaster and to expel the Despensers. Isabella was welcomed by the Londoners. Edward was captured and imprisoned by Isabaella and Mortimer in November, 1326. Despenser was tortured by the Londoners because he had homosexual relation with Edward II. The executioner cut his flesh, slice by slice. His Coronation was held when he was 15 in January, 1327. His father Edward II was imprisoned and was murdered in prison in September, 1327. He reigned the country for 50 years. When he grew up into adulthood he had his mother imprisoned and put Mortimer to death. He did not threaten the rights and privileges of the barons, who supported the king in his war. Black prince, son of Edward III Crecy Black Death killed 25million European people from 1348-1349. It was caused by a small creature, the flea.
