Where are you from?
S: I’m from China.
T: Me, too. Where is your pencil-case?
S: It’s on my desk.
T: Where is your English book?
S: It’s on my desk.
Warm up
1 Let’s chant together.
How many English—books do you have?
Thirty! Thirty! Thirty!
How many Picture—books do you have?
Forty! Forty! Forty!
How many story—books do you have?
Fifty! Fifty! Fifty!
2 Let’s sing together: Friends
3 I show some pictures, have some student ask and answer:
What’s her name? What’s his name?
Presentation.
I’ll show a picture about a phone and point at it ask: What’s this? S: It’s a phone.
T: Where is the phone? It’s on the desk.
Teach the new word phone and practice.
I’ll teach the word bed, sofa, shelf, fridge, table in the same way. Ss: look at the PPT, listen to the tape, read after the radio, read the word one by one, the have a race.
3. Listen to the tape and ask the Ss to repeat.
IV. Consolidation
1. Ask the Ss to practice these words then ask them to have a competition.
2. Play the tape Let’s do for the Ss to repeat.
3. Ask the Ss to stand up and follow me.
Ask the Ss to practice with each other.
Extension
Play a game.
Ask the Ss to come to the blackboard say a chant whit 6 new words.
2 I say a word sofa, Ss need to touch the word and say: sit on the sofa.
2. Read and say missing letters. I show
PPT, they do some exercises.
VI. Sum-up
T: What have we learned today?
S: phone, bed, sofa, shelf, fridge, table.
S: look at the video and do together.
