W en t e volume factor of Lix984N is increased from 0.5%to 5.0%, t e p ase disengaging speed is reduced due to t e in- crease of organic p ase s density and viscosity and t e reduction of organic p ase s surface tension.T e HLB value of Lix984N calculated using Davies incremental approac is 1.29.According to t e Bancroft rule, Lix984N is in favour of t e stabilization of W O emulsion.T e results ave s own t at Lix984N does not predominate in t e process of interface emulsifi- cation and t e solid particles in t e system is t e decisive factors for interface emulsification.Wit increasing of t e volume factor of Lin984N, t e affinity between organic p ase and solid particles increases, resulting in synergetic emulsifying effect between Lin984N and solid particles.
