AbstractTi40alloyishighalloyingbetatypetitaniumalloywithproprietaryintellectualpropertyrightsofourcountry,whichhasgoodburnresistanceandhightemperaturemechanicalproperty,butthealloyforgingperformanceispoor,likelytoproducedeformation defects. Based on this, the isothermal and constant strain ratecompressiontestsofwroughtTi40alloywerecarriedoutbyusingthehotworkingsimulatorinthetemperaturerangeof950~1100℃andstrainraterangeof0.001~1.0s-1,basedoncompressiontestresults,themechanicalbehaviorsofthewroughtTi40alloywerefirststudied,andthentheoptimizationofhotworkingprocessparametersforthisalloywerestudiedbyusingtheprocessingmaptechnologybasedondynamicmaterialmode.Themainresearchresultsareasfollows:Theflow stressofwroughtTi40alloyisincreasingwiththeincreaseofstrainrateandthedecreaseoftemperature,theturestressandturestraincurves is flow steadilybasically,buttheflowstresswillappearsofteningphenomenongraduallyinthestrainrateof1.0s-1. After analysis showsthat,hyperbolicsineequationis moresuitablefordescribethedeformationbehaviorofwroughtTi40alloyinhightemperaturedeform-ationandtheaveragedeformationactivationenergyofwroughtTi40alloywascalcu-latedas253.48KJ/Mol,Thismeansthedeformation mechanismsofthisalloyisnotonlycontrolledbyself-diffusionoftitaniumatoms .InthetestparametersrangealsoestablishedthewroughtTi40alloypeakflowstressmodel,theresultsshowthatthemodelcanachievehighprecision.Basedondynamicmaterialmodeltheory,theprocessingmapsofwroughtTi40alloyatvariousstrains aredrawnbyusingPrasadcriterion,MurtycriterionandMalascriterion.TheanalysisofprocessingmapsshowthattheprocessingmapsdrawnbyusingPrasadcriterionandMurtycriterionareapproximatelythesame,butgreatlydifferentfromMalascriterion.Analysisedshowsthat,betterdeformationregionsbelongtotheinstabilitydeformationregionseasilybyMalascriterion,butPrasadcriterionandMurtycriterioncanwellsuretheflowinstabilityareaandflowstabilityarea.BecausetheinstabilityareaintheprocessingmapsbasedonPrasadcriterionisbiggerthanthatbasedonMurtycriterion,the
