AbstractThere are many problems in existing industrial park in Shenzhen, such as the scale is small but the number is larger, and the layout is scattered and out-of-order. It is necessary to integrate these industrial parks. At the same time, the industry and market-driven tendency of the upgrading of industrial land promoted by industry is very obvious. In the 30 years of reform and opening up, there are a huge number of various types of industrial construction left in Shenzhen. They have important meanings and practical values on the use of resources, economic, efficiency, environment protect and cultural history.The creative industry is thriving in demanding need of a lot of fit buildings. It is an ultimate instrument to reduce the pressure for both that reconstructing old industrial buildings towards creative industrial park (CIP), and it will benefit the progress of industry upgrading and the whole economy. Consequently, studying on the combination of the reuse of old industrial buildings and creative industry is a theme with magnitude signficance on theory and practice.This paper studies the adaptable recycle of industrial building in Shenzhen, especially the recycle of those buildings when they were reconstructed into multi-function communities combined with the rising creative industry.In detail, two parts of work have been done in this thesis, generalized as such:By reviewing the protective reuse of industrial buildings all over the world and making some field survey of creative industry area in Shenzhen, this paper studies the development and characters of creative industry itself, analyses the causation and inevitability of the combination of industrial building and creative industry.By making some field survey of creative industry area in Shenzhen, and combining the practical experience all over the world, this paper studies the classification on creative industry parks in combination with the old industrial buildings, and finds out the condition for the
