concentration(morethan0.5M)ofacidsispreferabletoproducingthepolyanilinenanofibers.Atlowconcentration(lowerthan0.1M),thesyntheticpolyanilinehasamorphologyofparticles.Athighconcentration,thesizeofnanofibersisalmostindependentontheacidconcentration;Thediameterofthenanofiberincreaseswiththereactiontimewhenthetimeislowerthan6h.Atthelongerreactiontime,thediameterofthenanofibersremainspracticallyinvariantwiththereactiontimeandkeepsatthevalueofaround50nm;Whenthepolymerizationreactionwascarriedoutatthemonomerconcentrationof0.1M,thenanofiberswereproduced.Withtheincreasingoftheanilineconcentration,thequantityofgranularparticlesstartstoincreaseintheproducts.Whentheconcentrationofanilineisincreasedto1M,theproductsarecompletelyparticleagglomerations;WhentheconcentrationofAPSis lowerthan0.5M, polyanilinenanofibersareobtained andthediameters ofthesyntheticnanofiberskeepalmostinvariantwiththeincreaseoftheconcentrationof APSinaqueousphase.Thesenanofibershaveaveragediameterof40-60nm.However,theproductisintheformofparticulateswithanaverageparticlediameterof40-50nmwhentheconcentrationofAPSishigherthan0.5mol/L.2.DirectElectronTransferofGOxattheSurfaceofPolyanilineNanofibers.Thepolyanilinenanofibersareusedasanelectrodesubstrateforimmobilizationand facilitatingthedirectelectrontransfer(DET)ofredoxproteins/enzymeswithglucoseoxidase(GOx)asamodel.Afterimmobilizedonthenanofibers,GOxcankeepitsnaturalstructureandundergoeseffectiveDETreactionwithapairofwell-defined,quasi-reversibleredoxpeaksat–418mV(pH7.0,10mV/s).Theapparentelectrontransferrateconstantis(6.3±1.6)s-1.TheGOx-nanoPANI/GCelectrodedisplaysgoodfeaturesinelectrocatalyticoxidationofglucose,therefore,itcanbeusedasabiosensorfordetectingthesubstratewithalowdetectionlimit(0.5μM),a widelinearrange (0.01to1 mM),alowapparent Michaelis-Mentenconstant(1.05±0.04 mM), as wellasacceptablestabilityandreproducibility.Thegoodbiocompatibilityof polyanilinenanofibersenablesthemtobecomeasimpleandeffectiveplatformfortheintegrationofproteins/enzymesandel
