Step 1 Revision
This is the first day of the term, greet the students with expressions such as Hello/Nice to meet you again.
Question bombing for revising the following objects, colors, etc.
Ask Whats this / that in English?
What colour is it?
Is it yours?
Whose is it?.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Teach minute.
Ask What time is it now?
准备一个大一点的挂钟,将指针随意调整,进行若干次提问,最后一次调整到11点12分,学生会说eleven twelve, 告诉学生还可以twelve minutes past eleven用表达。
2. Listen to the tape of SB Page 1, Part 1, 1. After that, make students read.
3. Practice
课前让学生每两个同学准备一个小闹钟,教完MINUTE后,让他们两两练习,用下面的句型
What time is it?
Is it time for class?
熟练了之后,让学生act out.
Step 2 Revision
出示一张日历
ask What day is today?
2. Let’s chant
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.
Step 3 Presentation
1. Go over months with the calendar.
Teach the real day, for example, Wednesday, February 20th.
Listen to the tape of SB Page 1, Part 1, 2.
After that, ask What day of the week is it in the dialogue?
Step 4 Practice
Ask students to read SB Page 1, Part 1, 2. in pairs.
T: Who’s on duty today?
S: I am.
T: What day is it today?
S: (……)
T: Is everyone here today?
S: Yes. (If no, go on asking)
T: Who’s not here?/Where is he/she?
S: (……)
3. 在黑板上或电脑上出示
Could you help me?
Yes./Sure/Certainly/Of course

Thank you.
T: Since ……is not here, ……(叫一个学生的名字),Could you help me? Please give these new books to your classmates.学生会从你的暗示中学会用上面的对话和你对话的。
