Let the students point out the thing he/she likes, then ask like this: “What’s this in English?” And the student may answer like “铅笔” ,then the teacher can say “It’s a pencil .”Then the teacher writes “What’s this in English ?”“It’s a pencil.” on the blackboard, using colorful chalks like here, and teach “pencil”, “What’s this in English?”, “It’s a pencil.” one by one, let the students read after the teacher the words and the sentences for at least 3 times. Then let the students repeat by themselves. 2 Do the same with pencil-box, pen, sharpener, ruler. (目的为了让学生熟悉单词，有利于句型的运用。) 3 操练句型 。The teacher holds a pen and then says “What’s this in English?” Class:”It’s a …. ”. Row 2: “It’s a….”Group 1: “It’s a … .”Individuals: “ It’s a … .”(通过师生,生生互问交流，达到熟练句型口语训练的要求。) Teach “eraser”, ask “What’s this in English?” Help the students answer, “It’s an eraser.” Then the teacher may write “It’s an eraser.” on the blackboard, using colorful chalks like here, and teach “an eraser”, tell the students that they should pay attention to the word “an”, give more examples to the students like “ an English book, an old pen” etc. Then let the students read after the teacher the word and the sentence for at least 3 times. Then let the students repeat by themselves. Ⅲ Practice 1 See if they know these words well. A game like “Show me ….”can begin ,let the students take out what the teacher wants them to do . Then ask and answer the questions like “ What’s this in English? It’s a /an ….”,holding the thing by themselves . 2 Let them ask and answer in pairs .
