Its main categories include chemical raw, materials and preparations, Chinese herbal medicine, herbal pieces, proprietary Chinese medicine, antibiotics, biological products, biochemical drugs, radioactive drugs, medical equipment, hygiene materials, pharmaceutical machinery, pharmaceutical packaging materials and pharmaceutical business. The pharmaceutical industry play a very important role in protecting the health of people, improving the quality of living , family planning, disaster prevention, military readiness and promoting economic development and social progress. In the fierce market competition,through a various forms of joint, merger and reorganization, the pharmaceutical industry has changed the condition that the medical enterprises are small ,the layout is excessively scatter.As a result ,it improved the production concentration in a certain way. At present, there have been 25 enterprises in the pharmaceutical industry ranking at 520 large enterprises. The production concentration of the pharmaceutical industry sales of the former 60 enterprises is 35.7%, increasing by 16% than the 19.7% in the eighth five-year. A group of famous enterprises have developed in the fierce market competition . The large-tonnage manufacturers have greatly decreased which product Penicillin, vitamin C,synthetic vitamin, aspirin and acetaminophen .
