Classroom management is the way teachers organize what goes on in the classroom. It contributes directly to the efficiency of teaching and learning . It can be achieved when the six conditions are met: 1. appropriate teacher’s roles; 2. clear instructions; 3. students in suitable forms of organization; 4. appropriate questions; 5.discipline and harmony; 6. proper correction of mistakes or errors. 1. The role of the teacher What does teacher do before the class, ,during the class, after the class? Before the class, she plans what to teach, how to teach what results to achieve. During the class, she provide encouragement, help students understand input, check to make sure that students learn, simplify and explain language points , help students interact maintain students interest. After the class, she evaluate and reflect the lessons. Advantages and disadvantages of four types of student grouping Discipline in the language classroom 1. use your students’ names; 2. Be polite to your students; 3. Do not show favoritism; 4. prepare lessons well; 5. Speak clearly; 6. Give equal chance to Ss; 7. Give Ss chance to talk; 8 .Be clear about expectations; 9. Do things you tell your Ss would do; 10. Be consistent in how you deal with Ss. Questioning in the classroom   1. closed questions; 2. open questions; 3. display questions; 4. genuine questions; 5. low-order questions; 6. high-order questions. Dealing with errors 认识错误: 1.严重程度: 对理解影响的大小: 与正确形式偏离的远近 . 2.错误性质: 概念错误: 紧张引起的错误. 纠正错误: 1. 纠正的时机: 严重时,纠;轻微时,不纠. 形式错误,多纠; 交际活用时,少纠. 讲完时,纠; 中途, 不纠. 2. 纠错形式:给机会再试; 教师纠; 讲解规则.
