潇洒桐庐 Charming Tonglu 浙江省桐庐县人民政府新闻办公室 INFORMATION OFFICE OF THE PEOPLES GOVERNMENT OF TONGLU COUNTY ZHEJIANG PROVINCE 遥远的黄帝时代（公元前26世纪初——公元前21世纪初），一位老人来到富春江畔，在一片桐树林下结庐采药、治病救人。有人问其姓名，他笑而不语，只是指指身边的桐树。后人怀念这位悬壶济世、不留姓名的老人，尊称他为“桐君”，将其结庐采药的地方称为“桐庐”。 In the remote times of Yellow Emperor (the beginning of B.C.2600-the beginning of B.C.2100), an old man came to the bank of Fuchun River. He built a cottage under the woods of tung trees and gathered herbs to cure the sickness to save the patients. When someone asked his name, he smiled but kept in silence and just pointed at the tung trees next to him. In memory of the nameless old man who practiced medicine in order to help the people, the later generations address him respectfully as “ Tongjun” , meaning Gentleman under the tung tree and call the place where he built a cottage and gathered herbs as “Tonglu”, meaning cottage under the tung tree. 桐庐概况 Overview of Tonglu 【地理地貌】 桐庐位于浙江省西北部，距离杭州60公里、上海230公里。桐庐县以丘陵山区为主，呈“八山半水分半田”地貌特征。富春江由南而北纵贯县境东部，分水江自西北向东南汇入富春江。 【气候条件】 桐庐属亚热带季风气候，四季分明，日照充足，降水充沛。年平均气温16.5℃，年平均降水量为1552毫米。 Geography and Land Features: Tonglu is located at the northwest of Zhejiang. It is 60 kilometers far away from Hangzhou and 230 kilometers far away from Shanghai. Most places of Tonglu County are hilly and mountainous areas and its land feature is 80% hilly and mountainous, 5% water and 15% farmland. Fuchun River goes through the east of the county from south to north. Fenshui River converges into Fuchun River from northwest to southeast. Climatic Conditions: Tonglu belongs to subtropical monsoon climate. It has four distinctive seasons and sufficient sunlight and rainfall.
