世行行长金墉在上海记者会上的讲话 Remarks at Shanghai Press Conference 在上海记者会上的讲话 Jim Yong Kim, World Bank Group President 世界银行集团行长金墉 Shanghai, China 上海，中国 September 15, 2013 2013年9月15日 Thank you very much for joining us today. 感谢各位出席今天的记者会。 First I’d like to thank the Chinese people for the warm welcome I’ve received on my arrival. 首先我想感谢中国人民在我抵达时给予我的热情欢迎。 I know from my last visit to China that we share a common passion to end poverty and build shared prosperity. 我从上次访华中了解到，我们拥有消除贫困和建立共同繁荣的共同热情。 For the past 30 years, China has grown at a high speed, at an average of about 10 percent per year, lifting more than 500 million people out of poverty. 在过去30年里，中国经济以年平均10%左右的速度增长，使5亿多人口摆脱了贫困。 This is truly remarkable. It is an achievement for the history books. Still, such rapid growth is taking a toll, as China’s leaders are well aware. 这是十分突出的、载入史册的成就。但是，这样高速的增长也付出了代价，中国领导人充分认识到这一点。 I’m encouraged by the Chinese government’s commitment to reforms, to sustain growth and improve the lives of its people. 我为中国政府作出的推进改革、保持增长和改善人民生活的承诺深受鼓舞。 Data released in August suggests that economic growth is stabilizing and China’s growth goal for this year appears within reach. That target – 7.5 percent – is still high by global standards but is slower compared to past years. 今年8月份公布的数据显示，中国的经济增长正在趋稳，今年的增长目标有望实现。7.5%的增长目标按照全球标准衡量还是很高的，但与过去相比有所放慢。 China is moving from its old model of export-oriented growth toward a less investment-driven and more consumer-driven economy.
