课题: Unit 11 The Titanic 教具: 多媒体 教学目标: 知识目标:教师通过讲解课文,使学生能够理解文章内容,掌握前两段中的重点词汇. 能力目标:通过学习文章,使学生能够用英语流利地复述文章内容. 德育目标:通过学习课文,使学生懂得 “无论我们做什么事情,都应该认真对待.” 重点难点: Hot words and useful expressions Such as: “ on the morning\on the afternoon\on the evening leave…for…; because, as, for; shortly before ,shortly after; have a good time” 教学方法: 情景式教学法; 启发式教学法; 讲授法. 教学内容及组织教学: 教学内容: 通过讲解第11单元ReadingA中的前两段内容. 教学过程: (在上课前教师播放一段关于泰坦尼克号的影音资料.) Ⅰ. Greeting Ⅱ. Lead in: Just now we’ve appreciated a fragment, I have a question: “What did you remember from it?” or “What did you hear?” “Do you know the name of the ship?” Ⅲ. Review: Teacher should check the new words through playing games. Ⅳ. Pre-reading: First I’ll give the students three minutes to read the passage and then answer four questions on the screen. Questions: 1.What kind of ship is the Titanic? 2.How many passengers were there on the ship? 3.Why did the Titanic sink? 4.How many people died in the disaster? Ⅴ.Analyze the text: “在早上/下午/晚上”in the morning \in the afternoon\ in the evening 具体谈到某一天早上/下午/晚上,就用介词“on”而不用“in”. For examples: ⑴奶奶打算周六上午走. Grandma is going to leave on Saturday morning. (2)五一节的晚上将有一个集会 There’ll be a party on the evening of May Day. 2.leave…for… “离开…到…” E.g:老板离开北京去了上海. The boss left Beijing for Shanghai. 3.This was her first trip across the Atlantic. 在英语中her,she可用来指船舶、国家、月亮、地球等. E.g: When Mr Smith came to China, he knew what kind of country she was. 当史密斯先生来到中国时,他才知道她是一个什么样的国家. 4.Because、as、for 的区别: ⑴ Because表直接而明确的原因或理由,它的语意最强.例如文中: The temperature had fallen,because there were icebergs around. ⑵As不如Because语意强,当理由是明显的或被认为是已知的则用as. E.g: As it is raining, you’d better take a taxi. ⑶ For 说明理由,只是解释性的,它的语意最弱,不用于句首. E.g: It must have rained ,for the road is wet. 5. Shortly before… “前不久” Shortly after… “后不久” E.g:The bridge was rebuilt shortly after the war. 战后不久重修了这座桥. 6.have a good/pleasant time“玩得很痛快,过得很愉快” 补充: Have a wonderful time 玩得很快活. Hav
