AbstractTheaerospacethin-walledbladepartsareusuallydesignedasfree-formsurface.Thesepartshavethetechnicalcharacteristicsofvariablecross-section,strongdistortion,easytodeformation.Thegeometricdeformationinthemulti-processmachiningofthesepartsisapttogenerate.Thequalityofmulti-axisCNCmachiningofthebladesplaysanimportantroleontheperformanceofaircraftengines.Howtofastandefficientlyinspectthebladesinsituofthemachinetoolshasbecomeoneofthevitaltechnicalproblemsinthefieldoftheaviationmanufacturing.Inthispaper,acertainaircraftenginebladeisstudiedasanexample.Themethodsandexperimentresearchontheinsituinspectionofthebladesurfaceareproposedandimplemented.Themainresearchcontentsareasfollows:Inthisstudy,themethodsofcontactmeasurement,non-contactmeasurementandcombinedmeasurementareintroduced.Somekeytechnologyproblemsonfree-formsurfaceinspectionareanalyzed,suchasmeasuringpointsplanningandmeasuringpathoptimization.Fortheproblemofmeasuringpointsplanningofthefree-formsurface,thebasicschemeondeterminingthenumberofthemeasuringpointsispresentedandtwokindsofmeasuringpointsplanningmethodsbasedonthecurvatureinformationareproposed:thecurvaturedifferencemethodandlinearanglemethod.Fortheproblemofcontactingmeasuringpathoptimization,thecalculationmethodsofthedirectionvectorsoftheBsplinecurveandthedoublethreeBsplinesurfacearepresentedandthemeasuringpathplanningmethodbasedonthenormalvectorofthebladesurfaceisproposed.Thenecessityoftheinsitumeasurementaswellasitsadvantagesanddisadvantagesareintroducedinthispaper.Thebasicworkingprincipleofthegeneralinsitumeasurementsystemanditshardwarecomponentsarepresented.Themachiningexperimentsareconductedonthesinglebladeparts,whichincludethemachiningprocessingprogrammingandsimulation.Thecalibrationmethodandprocessoftheprobesarebothstudied.InthesoftwareenvironmentofthePowerINSPECTOMV,theinsitumeasuringprogramofthesinglebladepartsisprogrammed,andthecorrespondinginsitumeasuringexperimentsontheMikronmachiningcenterareconducted.Theexperimentalresultsaregood.Themeasuringr
