The experiences gained in the Long March series of carrier rockets have significantly improved the safety and reliability and technical performance of Chinas launch vehicle. But compared with the United States, Russia and other countries, Chinas carrier rocket technology still lags behind, and along with the development of space science and technology, the applied satellite, space technology and other aspects put forward new technical requirements to carrier rocket. The airspace X project studied in this article is shouldering the mission of the research and development of a new generation of carrier rocket, and it will lay the foundation to the research and development of the following series of carrier rocket.
