GEOMAGIC STUDIO 9 NEW FEATURES Geomagic Studio 9 New Features VERSION 9.6.24 OVERVIEW Geomagic Studio 9 provides new tools and capabilities to effectively and automatically process 3D scan data for a wide variety of applications, including reverse engineering, analysis, and design. Three major areas of enhancement include 3D Features, advanced color texture generation, and advanced tools for manual NURBS surface definition (Patch Drawing). Other enhancement areas include point and polygon editing, auto surfacing, and GUI enhancements. This document provides detailed information for our major new functionality, as well as a comprehensive list of enhancements and modifications. These 3D Features are introduced as subobjects in the Geomagic Model Manager, in a similar manner as datums and existing 2D features (holes, slots, etc.). 3D Features: plane, cylinder, cone, and sphere. These new features can be used in many ways for a variety of applications.
