Presentation Title Subheading goes here Have someone read the Story of the Stone ？ The story of the Stone, called one of the four classical novels, was written by Cao Xueqin in Qing dynasty. It describes the rise and fall of four big families, and uses the love between Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu as the plotline(主线). It is commonly believed that the novel’s first eighty chapter was written by Cao, but the rest was written by Gao E. However, the original author have given the general result of the novel in the form of poems at the fifth chapter. Nowadays, I would introduce the twelve girls in Jinling(金陵十二钗) to you! She is the granddaughter of Mrs.Jia and the cousin of Baoyu. They had “the pledge of wood and stone”(木石前盟). Daiyu forms the high-hearted(清高)character, because her parents dead early, and she has to live in others home. It is a pity that she could not marry Baoyu and die ultimately. 可叹停机德，堪怜咏絮才。玉带林中挂，金簪雪里埋。 Baochai marrys Baoyu, but doesn’t get happiness. She is considered to be a model of women. The poem described the result of Daiyu and Baochai! 凡鸟偏从末世来，都知爱慕此生才.一从二令三人木，哭向金陵事更哀。 Wang Xifeng is the wife of Jialian and the housekeeper of Jia Fu. She is so clever and capable, but she is also cruel. As the poem described, she died from overwork. 富贵又何为，襁褓之间父母违。 转眼吊斜晖，湘江水逝楚云飞。 Shi Xiangyun is daughter of Family Shi, but she doesn’t live like a lord. Her husband died soon after they get married. 情天情海幻情身，情既相逢必主淫。漫言不肖皆荣出,造衅开端实在宁。 Qin Keqing was died firstly, so her funeral is the most solemn(隆重). Why she would die? You can guess from the poem 欲洁何曾洁，云空未必空。可怜金玉质，终陷淖泥中。 At the beginning of the novel, Miaoyu appears as a nun(尼姑).
