These are the people that should be addressed in the greeting of the email. If a response is needed these people will respond. 2.Cc or CC- (Carbon copy) - Any address listed in this line will receive a copy of this e-mail. This is a courtesy as they are not who the e-mail is written to. No response is needed. 3.Bcc or BCC- (Blind carbon copy) - This means that any address in this space cannot be seen by any other recipients of the email. They will not know that the Bcc people received the email. This includes other people in the Bcc. Do not use Bcc to trick people or get them in trouble. No response is needed. Schools and businesses often assign addresses to make sure that the e-mail addresses that are being used are appropriate. There is also often a lot of confusion about who to send e-mails to and how to use the To, Cc (CC), and Bcc (BCC). Making sure your own address is important and that the right person receives the e-mail in the correct fashion is also very important.
