ABSTRACTObjectives:To learn the effect of hypertonic saline intervention in paronychia patients after partial nail extraction,and explore the best treatment method for patients after partial nail extraction.Methods:The group of 168 patients which met the study inclusion criteria in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University clinic between April,2011 and Novmber,2014 were randomly divided into four groups.The patients were treatedwith four methods after operation :Vaseline gauze dressing change(Group A)、10%Nacl gauze dressing change（Group B)、2%~3%Nacl soaking（Group C）、 and 4%~5%Nacl soaking（Group D）.After the treatments,we observed and compared swelling subsided time、wound drying time、patients’ first dressing change pain score 、treatment satisfaction score、dressing change times、and recurrence rate.Alldata was analyzed with SPSS17.0.Results:①Wound drying time after operation:Compared the difference between group A and group D, group A and group C，group B and group C, group B and group D ,all have statistically significant(P0.01).②Swelling subsided time after operation:Therewas statistically significant difference between group A and group B, group A and group C, group A and group D ,group B and group D(P0.01),and the difference between group B and group C, group C and group D was statistically significant(P0.05).③Wound healing time after operation：There was statistically significantdifference between group A and group B, A and group C, group B and group C, group B and group D (P0.01) .④Pain score of the first dressing change :There wasstatistically difference between group A and group C, group A and group D, group B and group C,group B and group D(P0.01).⑤Treatment satisfaction score:Therewas statistically difference between group A and group C, group A and group D,group B and group C,group B and group D(P0.01).⑥Recu- rrence rate:Thedifference was not statistically significant in the four groups of Recurrence rate（P＞ 0.05）.⑦Dressing change
