CONTENTSAbstract.........................................................................................................................I摘要............................................................................................................................IIIAbstractLiteraturetranslationhasalwaysbeena hottopicintheresearchfield.But translationofchildren?sliterature,isalmostignoredintheworld,especiallyinChina.Many peopleareoftheopinionthattranslationofchildren?sliteratureisaneasy work,andsimplewords andshortsentencescould well express themeaning of foreignchildrenworks.Actually,thedifficultyoftranslationofchildren?sliteratureis thesameasthatoftranslationofadults?literature. Intheprocessoftranslating children?sliterature,translatorsshouldconsidermanyfactors,suchasthedefinitionof childrenreaders,thecharacteristicsofchildren?sliterature,andtranslatingmethods, andsoon.Doingtheworkoftranslating children?sliterature hassignificantmeanings. Besidesculturalexchangeandbroadeningchildren?shorizon,oneimportantpurpose istomakelittlereaderunderstandtheconnotationsoftheworkandexperiencethe charmofforeignliterature.Inordertosolvetheculturalproblemsandbenefit children,theworld-widelinguisticsandtranslatorsproposedsometranslation strategies.Oneofthemosttypicalrepresentativesoftranslatingstrategiesisdomestication andforeignization.Theconceptofdomesticationandforeignizationwasputforward firstlybyaGermanictranslatorSchleiermacher.Hesaidthat“eitherthetranslator leavestheauthorinpeaceasmuchaspossible,andmovesthereadertowardhim;or heleavesthereaderinpeace,asmuchaspossible,andmovestheauthortowardhim” (ShulteBiguznet,1992:6).Childrendon?thaveenoughlifeexperience,knowledge andculture,ifthetranslationisfullofabstractwordsandcomplexcontentthatis beyondchildren?sunderstanding,itisimpossibleforchildrentobeinterestedinthe translation.So theprimaryaim oftranslationofchildren?s literatureis to make childrenunderstandtheworkseasily,andthesecondaimistoletchildrenlearn somethingfromthetra
