AbstractGeneralself-efficacyreferstoaglobalconfidenceinone’scopingabilityacrossa widerangofdemandingornovelsituations.Asageneralizedself-efficacybelief,itcan predictindividualactivitiesundervarioussituationsandaffecthismentalhealth.Coping isacognitiveandbehavioralstrugglingprocessinordertoalleviatenegativeeffectwhen individualfacesfrustrationandannoyance.Asanagencymechanismofstressandhealth, copingplayanimportantroleinmaintainingmentalhealth.Basedonthequestionnaire investigationof296graduatestudentswiththeGeneralSelf-EfficacyScalebyMatthias JerusalemandRalfSchwarzerandrevisescopingstylequestionnairebyHuangXitingin Wuhan,thispapermakesaprimaryinvestigationongraduatestudents’general self-efficacyandtheirstylesofcopinginWuhan,aswellasexplorestherelationship betweengeneralself-efficacyandcopingstyles.Theconclusionsdrawnfromthisstudy areasfollows:Thetotallevelofgraduatestudents’generalself-efficacyismuchhigher,butsome students’arelowerthanonesataveragelevel.Therenotexistssomesignificantdifference between differentgenders and hometowns.With the ascendingofgrade,graduate students’ generalself-efficacyisincreased,butthecorrelationisnothigh.TheS.M’general self-efficacyis higher than MasterofArts.Incopingstyles,graduatestudents’scoresinshifting,helpseeking,problem solvingandrestrainoneselfaremuchhigherthancomplaining,shrinkback,escaping, fantasyandoppression.Inoppression,thereexistssomesignificantdifferencebetween differentgenders.Malestudents’scoresarehigherthanthatoffemalestudents.Withthe ascendingofgrade,thegraduatestudents’choiceofcopingstyleismorepositiveand rational.Inmajor,MasterofArtsarelessthanS.Monusinghelpseekingandproblem solvingwhen theyareingrade2.Generalself-efficacycorrelateswithcopingstylessignificantly.Itrelates positivelytoshifting,helpseeking,problemsolvingandrestrainingoneself,and negativelytocomplaining,shrinkbackandescaping.butitrelatespositivelyto oppression.Exceptfromoppressionandfantasy,generalself-efficacycanpredictotherseven copingstylestoacertaind
