The general design method of flyback switching power supply control loop is given by an example. Key words: UC3842 switching power supply control loop In the design process of switching power supply, the quality of control loop design is directly related to the stability of the system. Therefore, it is very important to design a good control loop to develop a switching power supply system. The control mode of switching power supply includes two kinds of current control mode and voltage control mode. The transfer function of the power supply system varies greatly with the control mode, so it should be separated independently in the design and analysis of the loop. In this paper, the control loop of switching power supply based on UC3842 is designed and analyzed, and the general design method of current mode control loop of switching power supply is discussed. Brief description of 1 UC3842 UC3842 is a performance of American Unltmde company, excellent current controlled PWM chip, the internal structure and the basic circuit as shown in Figure 1, it integrates a temperature compensated oscillator, high gain error amplifier, current sensing comparator, totem pole output circuit, the input and the reference circuit and under voltage lock the PWM latch circuit. The application example is shown in Figure 2, the input is 85V ~ 265V AC, the output is 12V/5A, the primary inductance is 370, H, the primary turns is 40T, the secondary turns are 5T, the switching frequency is 100kHz.
