前 言
现代计算技术、通信技术和微电技术的迅速发展,互相渗透和结合,形成了信息技术的革命,其中一个重要的方面是计算机网络的产生和发展。从20世纪70年代开始建立的公共远程网,20世纪80年代迅速兴起的局域网,到20世纪90年代要加速发展的综合业务数字网ISDN;从微机网到巨型计算机网,从一个部门的局域网剑覆盖全国、全世界的大型网。计算机网络广泛用于科研、教育、管理、生产、商业以致日常生活等各个领域,它的重要性正被越来越多的人们所认识,成为信息社会中重要的基础设施。
在众多类型的计算机网络中,局域网络技术发展最为迅速,局域网络的应用最为普遍,局域网络的成品众多、市场广阔。20世纪80年代是局域网络大发展的十年,20世纪90年代是局域网络得到了更加迅速的发展,到了21世纪局域网络的应用更加的广泛。
随着科学的进步,信息的发展,校园网越来越受到各个学校的青睐。它对学校的信息管理,资源共享提供了平台。可以使学校的各个部门实现互联,更方便学校工作的开展。
