It is to be noticed that Antarctica and Arctic Ocean can be regarded as territory as well, although it is belong to all states rather than any one state. A wandering tribe, although it has a government and is otherwise organized, is not a state until it has settled down in the territory of its own. Territorial Sovereignty Conception Sovereignty in relation to a portion of the surface of the globe is the legal condition necessary for the inclusion of such portion in the territory of any particular state Territorial Sovereignty-2 Contents a. State governs ownership and possession of its own territory b. State has exclusively jurisdiction regarding its own territory c. Territorial sovereignty is inviolable The Component Parts of State Territory Land Territory (Continent and Islands) Territorial Waters ( Internal waters, Territorial sea and Archipelago ) Inferior Land Air Space Territorial Waters National or internal waters consist of lakes, canals, rivers and their mouths, ports, harbors, sometimes waters landward of fringing islands, and some of its gulfs and bays. These different kinds of national water must be distinguished from territorial sea.
