Analysis 1.1 Identify the type of writing Expressive Find the style (features) of the writing Text structure The purpose of writing is to tell what happened or to express one’s feeling; It is a diary, so “I” is the starting point of the statements. It is loosely organized; spoken and informal language is used. Sentence structure Sentences and parts are loosely put together; Sentences are usually short. Some are long, but simple and easily understood. Word: simple and commonly used Analysis 1.2 Know the background if possible It is taken from Daniel Defoe (1660-1731)’ s Robinson Crusoe.
