When the University of Wales was founded in 1893, it became one of the three original constituent colleges and today, over 100 years after its establishment, the College is the largest of the seven institutions that make up the federal University of Wales with a current student population of some 5000 full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students whom approximately 15% are from overseas representing over 60 different countries.
