第八单元 A: I couldnt find Jim. I looked everywhere. I went to the hotel you told me to go to. He wasnt there. He wasnt at the conference center next door. B: All right, lets back up for a second. Which hotel did you go to? A: I, I went to the Plaza. B: The Plaza. OK, thats ...thats the right one, OK? A: OK. B: Which room number did you try? A: Ahm, 734, right? B: 734. Well, thats the one he is staying at. Now, I dont know. Jim sometimes, sometimes likes to, you know, go take a walk around the block. How long were you there for? Did you wait for him at all? A: Yeah, I waited for him for about half an hour or 45 minutes, something like that. B: Really? A: Yeah, I waited for a while. B: He still didnt show up. A: Yeah. B: I wondered if he went out for a bite to eat something like that? A: Could be. B: Theres a nice little cafe right next door to the hotel. Hmm, maybe you should try that. A: Oh, yeah, I think I saw it, the Bosco. Is that the one? B: Thats the one. A: Oh, OK. Yeah, Ill stop by and see if he is there. B: Great. A: Thanks for the tip. B: Any time. A: See you. 第九单元 A: Hi!
