A: The story took place in a clinic. Q: What was the relationship between the two people? A: They are doctor and patient. Q: What is the story about? A: It is about a woman who went to see the doctor, but did not want to tell her age. Q: (2) Why did the woman go to see the doctor? A: Because she had some trouble with her heart. Q: Did the doctor know her? Why not? A: No. Because he is a new doctor. Q: What did he ask her first? A: He first asked her some questions, and one of them was, “How old are you?” Q: (3 ) Did the woman tell the doctor her age immediately? Why not? A: No, she didn’t because she said she didn’t remember. Q: How old was her husband? A: He was sixty years old. Q: Then how did she work out that she was only thirty six? A: She thought that when she married, she was eighteen years old and her husband was thirty. Now her husband was sixty, that was twice thirty, so she was twice eighteen then, and she worked out that she was thirty six. Q: (4 ) How old was the woman? A: She was forty eight years old. Q: Did she really forget her age? A: No, I don’t think so. Q: Why didn’t she tell the doctor her age in a direct way? A: I think in the western society, age is a woman’s pri
