Teaching aims and learning objectives By the end of the lesson, students are expected to be able to: 1. learn more about the country they are interested in; 2. design an information folder about their favourite country; 3. present the folder to partners and talk about the country. Free talk T: Boys and girls, do you like travelling? S: Yes! T: Today, we’ll learn to design an information folder about different countries around the world. 2. The introduction to the information folder T: Have you ever seen this kind of pictures on your computer screen? We call it folder in English. What do you usually put in a folder? S: Some useful information, like the pictures and files. T: Correct. So an information folder shows you where information can be stored. Step 2 Planning and preparing 1. Choose a country you are interested in T: Look at this map of the world, which is your favourite country? Work in groups and choose a country you find interesting and wish to visit. Have a discussion in groups (1) Why do you choose this country to visit? (2) What’s special about it?
