Physical Education provides students with the opportunity to move, learn, and grow in a safe, structured environment. Students in physical education learn the fundamental movements that become the building blocks for physical activity later in life. Just as an infant must learn to crawl before it can walk so to must a child learn to jump before they can play basketball or volleyball. Together, physical education and classroom instruction promote healthy, lifelong habits of exercising both the body and the mind.
