OutcomesBased Evalution An Introduction基于的的结果的评价介绍

Note breakdown that will document outcomes. Again sometimes you’ll see these in different parts of the logic model—that’s OK. You have to know the program backwards and forwards to figure out what the indicators will be. Do you see how all the pieces of the LM start to come together? This is a relatively easy measure to track. Some are more difficult. You can use observation, surveys, case studies, etc. Think creatively here. How might you document increased knowledge of democratic process? What would work for that? How about increased voter registration? This is a possible indicator. A recent grantee was planning to use children’s grades to document program outcomes, but in the end they couldn’t get access to them. By choosing to collect data throughout you have the option of “tweaking” the program as it unfolds to make it better. Remember: this is not a scientific experiment that requires a controlled setting. Make sure your goal is achievable—look at past performance or find other benchmarks using research. Make sure you can articulate why you chose the goal—and didn’t just pick something out of the air. Program satisfaction: Not generally considered an outcome. “Flexibility and interpretation are often required” What’s the commonality here? IMPACT How do you measure these? Evaluation forms, surveys, test results, “ST: the first benefits or changes that participants experience, and the ones most closely related to the program’s outputs. Intermediate: link a program’s initials outcomes to the longer-term outcomes it desires for participants. LT: ultimate outcomes a program desires to achieve for its participants.” (United Way) ST outcomes-the ones you have influence over. LT—you ha
