AbstractInChina,northernShaanXiloessplateauisverywide,thelandslideoccursfrequently,whiletherainyseasoncomes.Somelandslide’sdecliningrateisextremelyhigh,peoplehavenotimetoavoidthem,andtheirdamageisveryserious.Therefore,atpresent,it’sacomplexandkeyproblemforthegeologicalworkersinourcountrytostudythecauseofthelandslidemechanismandstabilityintheregion.Inthispaper,theauthorsmeasuredYongningProductionPlant’s6ththenturnwaterstationlandslideinZhidanasanexample.Firstly,basingonthefieldinvestigationandsurvey,aswellasthegeotechnicaltests,thepaperdiscussedthegeologicalenvironmentconditionsofthewaterstationlandslide,includingthemeteorology,thehydrologyandsoon.Furthermore,itexpoundedthecharacteristicsofitsmorphology,structureanddeformationanddamage,accordingly,thelandslidewasanewpassage-typeandhigh-speedloesslandslide.Todeeplydiscussandcomparetheinternalandexternalfactorswhichpromotethelandslide’sforming,andbyusingtheAnalyticHierarchyProcess(AHP),wehaveevaluatedthesensitivityofthelandslide’sinducingfactors,thenholdtheideathatamongthevariousfactorswhichcausingthehigh-speedloesslandslide,themostactivefactoristherainfall.Studyingonthehazards’ssensitivitysequence,whichcanprovideareferenceforsimilarhigh-speedloesslandslide’spreventionandearlywarninginLoessPlateauregion.Secondly,Basingonthethroughoutkineticmechanismofhigh-speedlandslidebyMr.HuGuangtao,thepaperconductedapreliminarystudyonthekineticmechanismofthewaterstationlandslide,respectively,fromthreeaspects,whicharevigorousbeginning,high-speedtraveling,deceleratingending,torevealthewaterstationlandslide’shigh-speedslidingmechanism.Thepaperalsotookaevolutionanalysisforthewaterstationlandslide’sformationprocess,anddividedthewaterstationslandslide’sformationprocessintofivesteps,thatis“Strata’formationPeriod”,“Freesurface’sformationPeriod”,“CrackswidenPeriod”,“SlipsurfacethroughPeriod”,“LandslideoccurrenceandterminationPeriod”.Furthermore,usingSEEP/WmoduleofGeo-Studiosoftwaretosimulateandanalysiswaterstationlandslide’sseepagewhichunder
