ABSTRACTThree-dimensional(3D)physicalandmathematicalmodelswereformedbycouplingdiscreteparticlemodel(DPM)andvolumeoffluid(VOF)methodwithcorrespondinginitialandboundaryconditionsinthisthesis.3Dnumericalsimulationsonthebubblingbehaviors(includingbubbleformation,detachmentandrising)ofsingleorificebubblecolumnwiththepresenceofduliteparticles（?s≤4.19％）wereperformedbasedonFluent6.3.Inthesimulationprocess,bothgasandliquid(Eulerianphases)weremodeledwithacontinuityequationandasinglesetofmomentumequationstogether;theVOFprocedurewasusedtotracktheinterfaceofthebubbles.TheLagrangianparticleswerelinkedtotheEulerianphaseswithatwo-waycouplingthroughinterchangetermsintherespectivemomentumequations.Gridindependencewascheckedbyincreasinggridnumber,partofthecomputationaldomainwasrefinedwithalocalrefiningmethod,andinthatcase,thecalculationamountcouldbereducedwithanacceptedaccuracy.Atlast,a0.5-1mmgridarrangementwasselectedinthispaper.A10mmbubbleindiameterrisinginliquid-solidsuspensionwassimulatedandcomparedwithliteraturedata,therelativeerrorofthissimulationisbelow7%.Simulationsofbothgas-liquidandgas-liquid-solidflowsareinqualitativeagreementwithexperimentresults.Theparticleandfluidproperties,operatingconditionsandwettabilityoforificematerialwereinvestigatednumerically.Theresultsshow:3Dsimulationcandisplaythespiralpathofbubblerisinginliquid-solidsuspensionvirtually.Undercurrentresearchconditions,thepresenceofparticlesdelaysthebubbledetachmentperiod,enlargesthebubblesizeandslowsdownthebubblerisevelocity.tdbecomesabitlongerwithmoreparticles,turnstobedelayedgloballywithlargerparticlediameter,showsnorelationshipwithparticledensity;eitherincreasingparticlenumberordensityleadstolargerbubblediameter,dbenlargesgloballywithparticlediameterincreasing;eitherincreasingparticlenumberordensitydemonstratesreductioneffectonbubblerisevelocity,butvbfluctuateswithparticlediameterincreasing.Astrongwakeregionappearsbehindthebubblewhileit’srising,thewakeregionleadstolocalpressuredifferencewhichattractsparticles
