ABSTRACTInthisstudy,theeffectsofMn(II)ontheoxidationandmobilizationofAs(III)onthesyntheticlepidocrocite(γ-FeOOH)wasinvestigated.Firstly,abioticoxidationofMn(II)onγ-FeOOHwasstudiedinkineticsandcharacterization.Secondly,theeffectsofMn(II)ontheadsorptionandoxidationofAs(III)wereexploredthroughMn(II)-As(III)simultaneousoxidation,As(III)pre-treatedandMn(II)pre-treatedprocesses.Lastly,theeffectsofMn(II)ontheadsorptionandoxidationofAs(III)onγ-MnOOHwereinvestigated.OurresultsshowedthatMn(III)(hydr)oxidesweredetectedonγ-FeOOHintheabioticoxidationofMn(II)anditsamountincreasedwiththeincreaseofpHrangingfrom7.5to8.4.InMn(II)-As(III)simultaneousoxidationandAs(III)pre-treatedprocesses,thepresenceofMn(II)promotedtheremovalofaqueousAs(III)(includingadsorptionandoxidation).ConsideringtheoxidationofAs(III)byMnOxproducedonγ-FeOOH,aqueousAs(V)increasedasafunctionoftime.DuetothereleaseofAs(V),anincreaseoftotalAsinsolutionafterarapiddecreasewasfoundinbothprocesses.ThereleaseofAs(V)camefromthegrowingMnOxonγ-FeOOH,whichwouldtakeuptheadsorptionsitesandpushAs(V)intosolution.However,inMn(II)pre-treatedprocess,lessAs(III)wasadsorbedcomparedwiththeothertwoprocessesbecausetheadsorptionsiteswereoccupiedbyMnOx.TheconcentrationsofAs(V)insolutionreducedaccordingly,suggestingoxidationoftheadsorbedAs(III)wasoxidizedtoAs(V).TheextentofremovalofAs(III)andthereleaseofAs(V)correlatedpositivelywithpHvaluesandinitialMn(II)concentrationsinallprocess.InthestudyoftheinteractionamongMn(II),As(III)andγ-MnOOH,thepresenceofMn(II)promotedtheremovelofAs(III)andtotalAs,whileinhibitedthereleaseofAs(V)intosolution.ThisobservationwasmoresignificantwiththeincreaseofpHandinitialMn(II)concentration.KEYWORDS：Mn(II)oxidation,As(III)adsorptionandoxidation,γ-FeOOH,γ-MnOOH目录第一章前言.............................................................................................................1第二章文献综述.....................................................................................................32.1环境中的砷...........................
