AbstractBorosilicateglasshasdevelopedrapidlyinrecentyears,asanewglassmaterial,borosilicateglassiswidelyusedinphoto-greyglasses,automotiveglass,laserprotection,windowmaterialsofspacecraft,newequipmentswitch,etc.withitshighrefractive,lowdispersion,goodchemicaldurability,weatheringresistanceandexcellentopticalproperties.However,glassisvulnerabletoexternalconditionsintheusingprocessthatthesurfacegraduallyturnstobedimaffectingtheservicelife,thusimprovingthechemicaldurabilityandweatheringresistanceofglassisimportantproblemsinactualapplication.Inviewoftheaboveproblems,zincborosilicateglasswaschosenastheresearchobjectinthisexperiment,andzincborosilicateglassdopedwithneodymiumoxide,gadoliniumoxide,yttriumoxidewerepreparedandthencorrodedindeionizedwater,acid,alkalisolutionandtheatmosphereenvironmentrespectively.Thescanningelectronmicroscope(SEM)wasusedtoobservethesurfacemorphologyaftercorrosion.Thesurfaceelementswereanalyzedbyenergydispersespectrometer(EDS).Leachingofionsinthesolutionwastestedbyinductivelycoupledplasmaemissionspectrometer(ICP-AES).TheingredientsofjellyintheacidwereanalyzedbyXRD.ThestructureoftheglasswasanalyzedbyFourierinfraredspectroscopy(IR).Throughthesystemicresearchofzincborosilicateglassdopedwithrareearthontheweatheringresistance,chemicaldurabilityandtheinfluenceofthestructure,theresultsshowthat:Humiditywasthemainenvironmentalfactorinweatheringprocessofzincborosilicateglass.Thedopingofrareearthcanimprovetheweatheringresistanceofzincborosilicateglassthatyttriumoxideimprovesitthemostobviously,andthenitwasgadoliniumoxide,andneodymiumoxideonlyhadslighteffect.Glassdopedwith1mol%Y2O3,0.75mol%Gd2O3showedthebestweatheringresistance.Zincborosilicateglassdopedwithmixedyttriumoxideandgadoliniumoxidehadabetterweatheringresistancethanglassdopedwithsinglerareearthoxide,andglassdopedwith0.5mol%Y2O3and0.5mol%Gd2O3hadthebestweatheringresistance.Zincborosilicateglasshadtheweakestacidresistance,thestrongestwaterresistance,andthealkaliresistancewasbetweenthemiddle.Dopingrar
