The structure and po2 sitioning principle of the positioning set is introduced in detail. The position errormodel is built up according to the analysis of the straightness of the blanks, position error of the positioning p ins and alignment error. The method of magnitude of interference in alignment is developed to promote the position precision based on the characteristics of the positioning set. A fter the optmi ization ofmagn itude of interference and the clamp ing force, the position accuracy of the system is mi proved. The contrastive expermi ents indicate that the m ethod of magnitude of interference in alignment can reduce the position error effectively and therefore increase the weld ing quality.
