In 1999, it was listed into the World natural and cultural heritage list. Tea culture in Wuyi Mount has a long history. Early in 650 A.D., the Wuyi tea was tributes for nobles. Even in A.D.1280, there’s special tea plantation producing tribute tea for nobles. At the beginning of 17th century, Wuyi tea was transported from Macao to Europe.
