* Once the user has defined Asset Groups, Asset Items and Asset Activities, they can associate the Asset Activities and Assets together through the Asset Number/Activity Association form. This is a required procedure before entering the Asset Activity into a PM Schedule. The user can also define the standard repair procedures against rebuild items, such as motors, stored in inventory.? The user will begin by entering the Asset Activity that they would like to Associate with the Assets. The user will have the ability to query activities through an LOV provided in the Asset Activity field of the Association screen. Upon selecting one of the Asset Activities the user can begin adding the associated assets in the Main Tab. Each of the fields have an LOV for easy queries as well as a flashlight that is used to query assets and items for selection by name. * Additional Fields for the Main Tab include:? Item Type - (LOV) Identifies the Asset as an Asset or Rebuild Spare.? Priority- (LOV) User defined field that assists the user throughout the planning of work. Start and End Dates - (Date Field) Enter the start date of the Activity. The end date will only be entered for short term activities, otherwise will often be left blank. Within the ACTIVITY TAB the user can enter default data specific to a particular asset. These values are defined at the Asset Activity and Asset Record level. The system will default these values if the user does not change the data within the Asset Association Record. This is particularly important when a single activity will be shared by multiple departments (crews) . Field Descriptions within the ACTIVITY TAB. Activity Type - (LOV) User defined table to identify what maintenance is to be done. (Inspection, Overhaul, Lubrication, Calibration) Activity Cause - (LOV) What caused this work to be generated (i.e.Breakdown, Vandalism, Preventive, Non-Equipment Related) Owning Department - (LOV) Department that is responsible for the Asse
