As the First Son of the Republican Steel Industry, An Gang has done great contributions to the country ever since. After the reconstruction during the Ninth five-Year planning, and the development during the tenth five, An gang has a comprehensive capability of producing over 10,000,000 tons of steel, iron and steel products covering more than 700 varieties and over 25000 specifications. An Gang has ranked itself among the world top-ten steel giants successively in the past two years. With the rapid development of the world steel industry and the increasing competition, the development of An Gang has been conditioned by the worker s and staffs qualities, besides, Chinas quickened access to WTO, and it? industrialization, and the rapid development of intellectual economy and fierce competition for talents have aggravated that conditioned development. And the study of the employee training has, undoubtedly and obviously, become the key of keys to An Gangs development. With the authors long years of working experiences in charge of employee trainings, and through the study of the training theory, she has made a comparison of the employee trainings held in An Gang to those in held other advanced enterprises, and found that the development in employee training in An Gang has played a great role in carrying out An Gangs the ninth-five year technical reconstruction, and in realizing its preliminary boost. But there still exists some problems such as vague positioning of the enterprise training, insufficient analysis of the demand and incomplete training evaluation systems etc, and if these problems cannot be solved in time, An gangs fiirther development
