In recent years, with the rapid development of bullfrog breeding’s scale and as time goes by, quantities of ecological and disease problems arise in the process of breeding bullfrog, which we should be paid more attention. Based on the related data of studies and investigations, we summarized the characteristics of the ecological environment and diseases in the breeding process, asiming to grasp the points as a whole and provide some reference for farmers. Keywords: ?Rana catesbeiana; ecological environment; disease; prevention and cure; 牛蛙（Rana catesbeiana）隶属于两栖纲、无尾目、蛙科、蛙属[1]。是现存北美的最大的蛙之一。因其鸣声洪亮酷似牛叫，故名牛蛙。牛蛙包括四个生活周期，受精卵经过一系列变态发育形成蝌蚪。在适当的条件下蝌蚪开始变态，形成幼体，随着尾部消失，幼体开始水陆两栖生活。
