Literature and experts interviews and other methods are used for data collection and data are processed with the method of logical analysis. In modern society ， in order to inherit and develop traditional martial arts we should change our way of thinking, pay attention to the needs of the community and position itself properly. Maintaining martial characteristics with a national cultural characteristics and technical training system with “keeping Wushu Routine and San Da in one unity” ， blending the two educational modes of mentoring heritage and schooling and making a good grasp of the dialectical relationship between the inheritance of tradition and development and innovation are the important ways of heriting traditional martial arts of t and its culture connotation. [Keywords ] traditional martial arts , martial characteristics ， mentoring tradition ， school education 前言 武术是中华民族传统体育文化的重要形式。是中华民族 在长期的技击活动中，在中国传统文化的滋润下，以技击攻 防动作为主要载体，以提高攻防技击能力为主要目的，注重 形神兼备，打练结合，内外合一的修炼，融技击性、健身性、 文化性于一体的，各种自成体系的拳种总合。（1〕从19世 纪末开始，随着社会、政治、经济的巨大变化，武术的传承 和发展也历经艰辛与曲折。经历了民国时期为“强国强 种”，奉为国粹的高度肯定，“文革”时期列为旧社会封建 迷信落后产物的全盘否定，再至近几十年来，以西方竞技体 育模式为基础发展起来竞技武术。最终形成了国家支持引导 发展的“竞技武术”，以及流传于民间的、更接近武术原始 面貌的传统武术两种发展方向。 传统武术是诸多民族传统体育形式中最具代表性的项 目。经济的全球化所带来的文化相互交融，以及科学技术的 飞速发展带来的生活方式急剧变化，都使传统武术这一中国 传统文化面临着严重的危机，处于尴尬的境地之中。传统武 术如何能在继承传统文化精髓的基础上，走适应现代社会的 创新发展道路，是一个严峻而现实的问题，也是一个要长期 面对的问题，要抓住
