Abstract
When short carbon fiber was mixed into the concrete, it could make the concrete have favorable conductivity. Under the effect of outer electric field, carbon fiber reinforced concrete (CFRC) could produce electric heating effect, which could be applied to indoor heating and snow and ice melt of the road. But because of the high conversion cost of CFRC, and the complexity of the electrodes and wires in its construction process, its promotion and application was hindered. Considered these two problems, this paper wished to make a contribution on the promotion and application of CFRC through reducing the mixture of carbon fiber to decrease conversion cost and improving the arrangement of electrode to simplify construction.
The main content of this paper is as follows:
The influences have been researched on the coupling of different mix of carbon fiber and steel slag powder to the volume resistivity of concrete. The consequence of experiment indicates that steel slag powder was mixed to CFRC, which could reduce the mixture of carbon fiber; When the carbon fiber volume ratio was 0.58% and the content of steel slag powder was 20% by weight of cement, the volume resistivity of CFRC was stable and met the design requirement of Deicing and Snow melting.
The influences have been researched that of different electrode arrangement methods (including both ends electrode and closed electrode, the closed electrode includes square shape and round shape, and electrode material is stainless steel wire), different inner electrode sizes, different input voltages to the electro-thermal effect of concrete slab from mix carbon fiber and steel slag powder. The consequence of experiment indicates that temperature rising rate of the slab of CFRC which the rate of two other placements, and surface temperature distribution was uniform.
