Simulation Simulation and Imitation on the Damage of RC Bending Members Diagonal-section Abstract The rapid development of simulation technology provides a powerful tool for fnrthcr researches 011 RC structures．On the basis ofthe simulation and imitation on the damage ofRC bending members grOSS·section,the paper stimulated the whole damage process of RC bending members diagonal-section by a finite element software ANSYS． The paper starts from the researches on diagonal-section theory and analyzes the factors that have impact on diagonal-section carrying capacity,which offers valuable reference for future simulation researches．It pays more attention to studying some basic problems that must be solved before simulation,such as combined model ofsteel and concrete，constitutive relation and failure criterion of the material，cracking imitation of concrete，the choice of the material element and SO on．Through comparison and analysis，SOLID65 and LINK8 Were chosen to be concrete and steel element,which adopts separate modeling．The concrete materials adopt Multilinear Kinematic Hardening relationship as well as William-Warnke damage norms and simulate concrete crack by means ofseparate cracks． This paper used a specific example to do many explorations from modeling,meshing， loading to solving by means of ANSYS to simulate and analyze．Finally,It implemented the damage process and also displayed the results by pictures，animations and cnrves． In order to judge whether the simulation is right or not,the author experiments on several small beams whose diameters are salne as the simulated ones．Through comparing 011 destruction shape，the value of limited 10ad and vertical displacement,the finite element analysis results have a fairly good agreement with experiment ones and the finite element model is proved rational．The behavior ofthe RC structure Bnder load is also well shown which enables a de印research on the mechanics躺well勰the effects ofrelative parameters．Above all， the simulati
