For its shortcoming,P-delta effects play an important role in the response of lateral loads to the steel frame 恼uc阳r臼which Shear forces and bending moments in structural members induced by gravity loads are increasing. Stiffness of the s刨cture is redu臼d by P-delta effi ts which lead to an increase in 世油. In struc阳ral design beams and columns are always in non-elastic stage. Compare to elastic s饭ge,P-delta effects will make the whole building collapsed. Although a simplified method for 饨lculating se∞ndorder elastic analysis is adopted in order to consider s回ond-order effect in the book Code for design of stee/ strucωre (GB50017-2003). The method adopted by the ∞de is only confine .to the stage of el出ticity. R臼lly,P-delta effects play a key role in response of structural ultimate bearing capacity. While considering the 缸le strength of the crossbeam influencing the strength of steel 企ame st臼dily,this paper h出 inferred rigidity reduction coefficient of the crossbearn that the ∞de adopts and revise it. Based on the plastic zone method, this paper has set up the calculation model of steel frame through a so负ware ANSYS fmite element procedure in order to analyze ultim ate bearing capacity of steel frarnes.
