Abstract
The major work of the fine blanking process planning is to optimize the layout and choose a rational process plan. The layout optimization can improve the utilization of materials, and also have effect on the structure of the die. And the process planning has effect not only on die, but also on the product quality, production efficiency, and so on.
In this paper, the principles and characteristics of the fine blanking technology are analyzed. On basis of this analysis, the contents and methods of process planning of fine blanking are discussed. The principles of the layout design and the layout optimization algorithm are also introduced.
The application development methods of the die mould CAD system based on SolidWorks are studied. Through these studies, the key technologies and basic development procedure are introduced. Then, by studying the fine blanking technology and the process of die designing, the architecture design and module definition of the CAD system for fine blanking die are completed. The structure and function of each module are also described and analyzed in this paper.
According to the characteristics of the SolidWorks software and the application development method based on COM technology, the interface design and the functions realization of fine blanking process planning are finished. In order to facilitate process organization, the project management structure is designed, and top-down method of the die design is adopted by using the assembly tree. For the parameters driven and associated design, a number of parameters and functions for the process and die structure are defined by means of dimensions and equations. To improve the utilization of materials, the layout optimization is achieved by the parallel line algorithm or nesting algorithm for different layouts. Through the parameters-driven modeling characteristics, an interactive way for fine blanking process planning is completed. The process forces and the pressure centre can
