RESEARCH ON COMPETENCY MODEL CONSTRUCT I ON AND APPL I CAT 1 0N
OF THE PROJECT MANAGER I N HS REAL ESTATE GROUP
ABSTRACT
With the economic growth in China slowing down,the profit level of the whole real
estate industry which is confronted with unprecedented difficulties is declining.The competition between real estate enterprises is more and more fierce.The talent competition is
also obviously increasing.As a medium real estate enterprise in Guangxi,HS group face the problems with low person-post matching degree and high demission rate in key posts.For the purpose of improving the recruitment effectiveness and acquiring appropriate employee,who fits to the enterprise’S strategy and culture and also meets the job’S requirements well,HS decides to construct the competency model for the key post·-—-project manager,in this way reducing the demission rat,improving performance and promoting to reach its strategic target.
Regarding the competency model of the key post--project manager as its research object, this paper constructs this model successfully by analysis of the group’S culture and the job responsibility of project manager and comprehensive application various research methods, such as BEI,expert group evaluation,questionnaire survey and statistical analysis.,adopting
the form of combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis.This model consists of three
aspects,including the ability to manage tasks,others and self,containing fourteen competency indexes.This paper also adopts the method of principal component analysis
during factor analysis to confirm the weighting of different indexes SO that to establish steady foundation for the further application widely in various fields of human resources
management.The author applies this model successfully to selection of candidates and
acquires significant effects.At the same time,this paper introduces the model’S applications in performance management and staff training and development in details by l
