It consists of three parts: emotion, cognition, and practice. Its research objects are usually home, society and city. Place attachment can maintain the sense of survival, security, and continuity. At the same time, it can also enhance the sense of social bonding and belonging. However, it also has negative aspects, such as resisting changes, protecting the status quo, and even affecting the development of children in the community. At present, the researches on place attachment mainly use quantitative research methods, qualitative research methods, and a com- bination of quantitative and qualitative methods. Some studies have been used to manage and protect natural resources and enhance community identity.
